Last weekend my family and I went to Chequamegon. I did the 16 mile short and fat race and it was a little interesting trying to pass all the people in preferred start so I could get to the front. But when I finally got there they started to slow down for the hill. It was fun riding there in the front with Jake Richards and Evan Hartig. The gravel road was really fast and the hills went so fast but then when we hit the birke trail the group started getting farther and farther ahead. So for the last five miles I found another group and finished by them. I finished the race in 12 overall and 3 in my age group. Nate had a good race up until the time when some people went down in front of him and he finished 20 overall.

Few pictures from a ride I did in mountain with my grandpa and uncle. The Roche trail is amazing its fast and it has alot of big rocks to go over. The only bad thing about the trail is that it is only 4 miles long and you have to come back on the same trail, because of the tornado damage but every time I go back theres more and more trails.

still running
First meet of the year is on Thursday in ripon. It will feel good to finally compete and see how I do compared to last year. Today coach had us run on a trail around a pond. One lap is just over a mile and he had us do 4 laps. Its a pond I normally bike to and do laps and when I was running I wished I was on my bike.

blue mounds
Yesterday, I tried my first 6 hour solo race. I probably could have picked a better course to do a 6 hour race. The coarse was extremely rough, lots of wet single track climbs. I had a great 1st lap - one of the top lap times of the day. Second lap didn't pan out as well - 2/3 of the way through I flatted, couldn't get it fixed - got a ride back - started my second lap over with my Dad's bike - which sucked because the back skewer kept coming loose which made shifting hard and the wheel was rubbing. I wasn't used to my Dad's brakes they grab way better than mine do and put me over the handle-bars on a sharp turn. The third lap got my bike back until I crashed on a big rock and hurt my hip. - Other than that, sun was shinning, and I was racing. - So I guess it wasn't all that bad. I hope my next 6 hour goes better.
Casey & his Dad had good races - It was fun to watch & they both did really good.
Today I am going on a 30 mile road ride. Pork Tenderloin on the grill & Birthday Cake.(my sisters B-Day ) .

First day
Today was the first day of cross country pratice. Theres nothing like running 6 miles the day after a mountain bike race. while I was running I felt pretty good up until the last couple of laps the coach was pushing us to run faster. I think he was trying to see who ran all summer and who didnt.
tired
the borderbattle race went pretty good until I got to the last lap and just could not climb the last hill as fast as caleb and a I had a slow bottle hand off and when I looked up and saw that they put a pretty good gap on me. then when we went into the first singletrack section I started getting closer to them but when they got to the doubletrack they worked together and started to pull away.
